About us
A Sacramento family crew that climbs its own trees
Timberland Tree Service has been climbing Sacramento trees since 2013, starting with one truck and a simple promise: show up on time, cut with a plan, and leave the yard cleaner than we found it. More than ten years later that's still the whole business model — and it's why our customers keep calling back season after season.
Our story
The Sacramento Valley is hard on trees. Long triple-digit summers, dry wind, and heavy spring growth put real stress on the ash, sycamore, mulberry, and palms in front of almost every Sacramento home. We learned this trade here, on these trees, which means we know how a local canopy actually behaves — not just what a textbook says.
Uriel handles all of our estimates and ground operations, and he also serves as crew safety watch on every job. Ivan and Juan are our most experienced climbers — they handle the rigging and run the bucket trucks. Between them they've safely taken down trees in the 90- to 120-foot range, so no tree is too big for us to remove. They've also cleared storm damage off roofs in the middle of the night and trimmed hundreds of shade trees back into shape without leaving a single stub cut.
We also work a lot with landlords, property managers, and out-of-town owners. If you can't be there, we'll photograph everything, coordinate with tenants, and trim exactly to what the city asked for — the same way we do for out-of-area owners whose Sacramento rentals we service without them ever setting foot on the property.
What we won't do is oversell you. If a tree can be pruned instead of removed, we'll say so. If the work can wait a season, we'll tell you that too. That honesty is the reason the word "fair" shows up in almost every review we have.

How we work
Respect for your property
We tarp, rake, and blow before we leave. Sprinklers, lawns, and fences get treated like ours.
Skill over shortcuts
Rigging, roping, and sectional dismantling — the right technique instead of the fast one.
You talk to the owners
Uriel or Ivan answers the phone, gives the quote, and is on site doing the work.
